With all the festivals we’ve been doing recently, and all the making of stock to sell in our festival shop, Steve needed a bit of a break and to take some time to make something a bit different – just for the love of it. Our neighbour popped over and they got to talking about surfing. The waves have been pretty good down in Brighton this summer. They decided to try and make a hand plane for body surfing. A few hours later, Steve had made a cedar hand plane which our neighbour then took to Majorca for testing! It surfed well! A surf board is next on the wish list……
